What is Energy?

According to the definition, “en-er-gy” is the strength and vitality required to sustain physical or mental activity.  It also states that vitamin intake can impact ones energy and well-being.

Some synonyms for energy are: spirit, vitality, vigor, life, liveliness, animation, vivacity, spiritedness, enthusiasm, zest, vibrancy, spark, buoyancy, etc.

These definitions fit nicely into the new-age spiritual movement; however, these terms also have deep roots in several religions around the world.

I believe the definition of ‘energy’ itself encompasses everything that each living thing strives for. Energy is to live fully.  The definition does not state the mere physical act of ‘energy’ alone, but rather includes the spiritual aspects of energy, as well. What does it mean to be full of energy ?  Well, the answer is most likely different for everyone depending on their set of core-beliefs.

How you define “en-er-gy” depends on a variety of things ( i.e.: philosophical, spiritual, or religious practices).   I believe energy is more than the scientific definition entails–“power derived from performing physical or chemical resources. ” The scientific definition is very limited. Being that science can only measure facts. Energy is also what we take in on a physical, emotional, and mental level. We feed our mind things every single day. Although, mental/emotional energy cannot be measured, it can be felt. How many of you have ever walked into a classroom right before taking an exam, and noticed the “stiffness” in the room?

On the contrary, on the last day of school you might notice a somewhat “lighter energy.” All this is can be explained by the magnitude of thoughts in the room. If you have a room full of nervous students anticipating an exam, the energy will be ‘tense.’ In contrast, if its the last day of class, students will be excited; therefore, the energy of the room will be more relaxed. If we feed our mind certain things eventually that will have an impact on our mind, body, and soul. When you do something to one part of the body, other parts can feel it too. One body part cannot stand alone. Everything is connected.   I believe there are certain things that cannot be proven as fact because our understanding is limited. Have you ever had the feeling of ‘something being off,’ but you could not put your finger on it, only to  later discover bad news? That is not a coincidence, your intuition can sense things even when you cannot perceive what is happening.  These instinctual feelings are innate abilities that connect us to our intuition. The intuition is never wrong, yet it cannot be measured or proven. Does that mean that intuition is not real? Of course not. Despite technological advances, we will always be living breathing creatures that eventually parish.  That is why it is more important to treasure the short time we have on this planet. Despite if you live until you are 100 years old, life is still short. Analyze what you spend your time on, and how it impacts your overall happiness. Ask yourself “after doing this activity, how do I feel? ” If the activity uplifts your spirits pursue it and meditate on these things (i.e: charity, vocations, hobbies etc) . If the activity makes you feel good temporarily, but the next day you feel drained, drop the habit. Activities that give you temporary “happiness” or “relief” never give you true joy (i.e: drugs, partying, sex, etc).

What drove me, on my first solitude hike, to Angora lakes, was a deep drive to center myself. From my hike, I discovered that everything in nature is calm and relentless. The water was flowing down the stream, without any hindrances. Even when there was a log or rock in the stream, the water kept flowing. “Are we any different?” Should we stop striving through obstacles because of road blocks in our path? I think not. One thing this hike taught me is always go forward. Never let an obstacle “big” or “small” take you off the path to your  destination/goal. Remember we only live once, so make the best out of it 🙂

Youtube video that changed my life

First, I want to say that there are no number of words that can sum up what this video has done for my life. All I know is that if you are an aspiring entrepreneur, or if you want to live a more fulfilling, successful,  and abundant life. You to need to check out this youtube videoLaw Of Attraction Positive Affirmations for Success & Abundance, Live A Prosperous Life  by Jason Stephenson.

I listen to positive affirmations daily, and this one is by far the best free video I have come across. I have listened to several positive affirmation videos online. None of them have allowed me to manifest as much as this one.

 

Do I need to watch the whole thing?

Yes. I know it seems daunting to listen to a 45 minute video, but a few minutes into listening .. I  was astonished with the results. My emotions began to change from despair to joy, in a matter of minutes.

How often do I need to listen to it?

Listen to it daily. The trick is to repeat, repeat, and repeat. Before you know it, it will be like brushing your teeth. It will become a ritual, like everything else you do in life without even thinking about it.

When will I see results?

Individual results vary. However, I started seeing results as soon as I hit day 4 of listening to the youtube video:Law Of Attraction Positive Affirmations for Success & Abundance, Live A Prosperous Life   by Jason Stephenson. Once you have listened to it a couple times… your subconscious mind will guide you to listen to it again, and again.

Will it be easy to listen to on a daily basis?

The simple answer is Yes. I yearned to hear it over and over again

What makes this video be different from the others? 

The simple answer is “results” show up fast. Now this is dependent on individual effort.On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact.  I started this video on December 17th, 2016. It has not even been a full month yet, and I have already seen several positive outcomes. Try it out, and see if it does the same for you. All I can say, is thank you! thank you! Jason Stephenson, you have really changed my life forever. I will be forever grateful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Food for Mind

Life is full of periods of waiting…

waiting in line at the grocery store..

waiting for the doctor’s response on a medical condition..

waiting on a loved one to come home..

waiting for the time you grow up..

waiting on good news..

waiting in traffic…

There are several times in our lives.. when we do not know the answer  to a particular thing or situation. Yet, all we can do is  wait.

With all this waiting… it leaves us with much room for silence…  which can take us off the deep end

What do you do with your waiting time…

Do you sit patient hoping for the best… or do you sit on the couch thinking of the worst-case scenario…

It matters what you do with this waiting period..

Our minds might start to race…

we start thinking what is next for me..

what is going to happen when i get home… wake up..go to work…

the list goes on and on..

However, why is our mind so busy thinking about things that have not yet come to pass…

Why do our minds tend to race when we are all alone… or sitting in traffic…

What do we do then… Do we turn the radio on, to flood out the thoughts in our minds..

Do we read a book to pass time…

How do we pass time…without letting our minds race..and control us…

The answer is simple learn to take control of your mind…rather than allowing your mind to control you…

Realize..that there will always be moments of waiting..learn to accept the moment as is…

Do not stress nor fret about what tomorrow has in store…

We are supposed to focus on right now..not two or three hours from now…nothing but “right here” and “right now”

How many of us check out…when we are waiting on something..

In this day and age, we are used to getting everything fast… We are living in a society that values immediate gratification… but is that really better…

Immediate gratification may result in ADHD, the rise of low attention spans, and more chaos…

We need to stay grounded and patient..

The cliche quote “Good things come to those who wait” has some truth to it..when was the last time you put a lot of time and effort into a project and received negative results?

Our society says obtaining things faster is better… but that is contrary to everything we have been taught since day one…whatever happened to  “slow and steady wins the race” from the Tortoise and the Hare story?

Why aren’t we more patient with our loved ones, strangers, and most importantly ourselves….

Too many of us, tend to have a critical view of ourselves… The famous quote “You are your own worst enemy” digs into some deep truths about our human condition..

Why is it that so many of us fall into this conditioning…

It is simply because we are not taking care of our minds..

How can we take care of our minds..

  1. Eat right- You are what you eat (I have been battling my junk food habits recently). Eating fresh foods will keep your mind sharp.  If you eat food that is packed with nutrients you will be full of energy, in contrast if you eat junk food, your body will feel terrible, and you will probably have more mind fog, as your mind is not getting the nutrients it needs to get through the day. Have you ever noticed that after you eat junk food you feel like taking a nap. I ate nothing but fresh foods all week, and to no surprise I felt an improvement on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

  2. Meditate or pray- Depending on your religious or spiritual beliefs you might find prayer helpful. Whatever you choice is, do it. It is very important to go into a quiet room while you meditate or pray, this calms the mind.  There are many forms of meditation. There are the kinds of meditation that focus on a ‘mantra’ or “words” that raise your vibrational energy and bring you to level of peace. And there is meditation that allows you to chant or sing. There is even spiritual and religious meditation-where you meditate on biblical or religious teachings. Meditation can also come in the most known form, ” in which you sit in silence and focus on your breathing. In this kind of meditation if  thoughts come in and out of your consciousness, you are not to judge any of them.  Rather, you must accept these thoughts, and let them go. Release them. Do not try to avoid thinking of something. The moment you tell yourself “do not think of this” your mind will do exactly the opposite of that, and will run that specific thought/s into your head.

  3.  Exercise if you can: I do not have to go into detail here, as many people know the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of exercise. Those endorphins can help battle depression, and can also help you feel more balanced as a person.

  4. Write in a diary, journal, or start a blog, etc. Just get those words or thoughts that are in your head on paper. You do not have to be an author or the best writer to “write.” All you really need to do is make sense.   If you can understand your writing, that is all that matters. Writing can help you filter out worries, fears, goals, etc. “Filtering” is vital when you need to declutter your mind.

What are you waiting for urgently?

Time on the clock does not stop…

We know that time is constantly moving..

It does not slow down for us..

So that means that time is urgent..

thereby making how we spend our time even more urgent…

 

Where do you think urgency lies in the modern western world?

If you want to study what people view as “urgent” in a given community research how they spend their time and money…

What is more important to you…Time or Money?

Where is your time going?  Money is interchanged for time very frequently all around the globe.  If you have a job most likely you are trading your time for money. Spending countless hours to make money.

Where is your money going? devoting your time can bring-forth money

Can money buy you time? Sure,if you have enough it can buy you time,  but this depends on the resource, and how much money you have available.

If you had extra money, would you spend your time more wisely..

People tend to think when I make more money,  I will no longer have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck?  Yet, I find this hard to believe. As  many people actually spend more when they have more.. There is always something to upgrade to these days, which makes spending a social norm. In fact, if you do not have the latest I-phone or Android phone you will be made fun of (behind your back or to your face). If you do not believe me try to catch someone with a flip phone in public, and see how they react.

What is urgent to you?

What is urgent really? intangible things or tangible things? or both?

Does the sense of urgency come from your need to survive?

Survival of the fittest?

We have come to an era of massive consumerism, in which necessities are never enough anymore. There is always something to buy. We grow up thinking we must gain more to be successful? Yet, do we know how to define success without the societal context?  If you live in a first world country..You already know the saying “We want what are neighbor has,” or ” We are never truly satisfied with the things we have, humans always crave more.” Even when we truly have everything we “need” to be happy, we will not know it.  Gratitude is something that can create joy, yet so many of us forgot how to feel grateful. How many of us wake up,  thinking” I am so happy to be breathing.” Society wants us obtain a nice house, flashy car, spouse,  great career, etc.  And everyone tries to act like they have it all together… Just look at Facebook and social media. Everyone wants to look like they are living the American Dream, when its all a big lie. When are we going to stop trying to fake it. We try to live to this ideal standard that is not ever going to be obtainable, no matter how rich or wealthy you are.. you can never have it all. Why? because we are not perfect. This world is far from perfect. In a perfect world, it would be possible to live out the quality of life that society hangs high over our heads.  Is it our human nature to always crave what we do not have?A e we born this way… or does society teach us to be this way?   We always have desired the things that we do not have yet. Even when we start to obtain our desires, we soon want to upgrade our long held desires. Maybe we want to upgrade our phones, cars, houses, etc. It is a race that never ends.

 

When will we stop to think enough is enough…

When will we see that all we need is love from family and friends, a career that we enjoy, and enough money to support ourselves and loved ones.

When will this sense of urgency to upgrade everything stop.

We need to make sense of our own lives without comparing ourselves to the ideals of society.  This “broken” timeline full of unrealistic expectations of what we should obtain in our lives to be “happy and successful.”  We are imperfect beings, so we cannot live perfect lives. We need to make the  best out of this journey called “life”by filtering through all the junk that society tells us we need, and realizing what is really important. On your death beds you will not be asking yourself why didn’t I buy that newer model, rather you will probably be thinking… why didn’t I spend more time with my family or friends.

We need to have sense of urgency when it comes to giving and receiving love..

Our sense of  urgency… needs to shift from the material world to the intangible world.. We need to have an urgency for true, deep unconditional love. With this urgency to love everyone (including your neighbor) we can make this world a better place.

Our time on this planet is very valuable. It is urgent that we look at our lives honestly, if you died tomorrow would you be happy with the how you spent your time?.. if the answer is clearly “No” live your life with a sense of urgency everyday until the answer becomes”Yes.” What we need and what we want are two different things. If we have our health, a comfortable environment, and loved ones what else do we need?  All the other stuff are “desires” which have been pre-programmed and brainwashed into our psyches for decades.

Change your Focus, Change the World

The Power of the Masses

In order to make this planet a better place to live. What an individual decides to focus on  will have an impact on the masses. Whether we think we are a “nobody” or not (although none of us are). We are all somebody. All of us have this innate power to manifest good or bad things in our lives. We all have the power to make this world a better or darker place to live. That is why whenever a huge group of people are terrified of something getting worse, it always becomes worse.  Think of it this way, if 99.9 percent of the planet was sad and angry and focused on the negative circumstances that are in their lives, this would cause much destruction  on this planet because this universe is made of  energy. If all the conscious beings were vibrating at a low frequency (meaning low energy) this would create more negative experiences in our reality.  On the contrary, high vibrations mean high energy. Every human being has a certain vibrational frequency.  This vibrational frequency can change from day-to-day or month-to-month, and year-to-year, etc.  The lower your vibrational frequency the more down you feel the higher your frequency the more happy and joyful you are.You might think, well why does this matter?

THE MAGIC FORMULA TO MASTER VISUALIZATION

Is there something you want to gain in your life  be it an inanimate/ animate object, abstract experience, or  a specific kind of person. Well, let me give you some good news. You can attract anything that you set your mind to. To obtain the object of your heart’s desire you must have 3 magical recipes clear intent, true faith, and incredible focus… in order to obtain your desired goal.

 

Clear intent

Have a clear intent/ purpose. Be very clear about what you want to obtain in your life. it is that simple. If it is  money, love, or a family, that you want …declare this to the universe in a very definitive way. There is no one way of doing this declaration. I have gone many different directions to declare my goals to the universe. I have written letters and hid them away (shortly after hiding the letter all the things that I requested became my reality). I have used prayer as well. At this stage, all you have to do is be very clear about what you want (Whatever it may be, make sure to be very specific) the more precise you are with what you want the better.

Unbreakable faith

You can make all your requests known to the Universe, but these declarations mean nothing if you do not truly believe these goals are possible.

You must truly believe that your desired goal will be fulfilled. Despite the doubts circling through your mind, you have to believe in something that is not tangible. Faith means when you do not see a possible solution. Even if it seems impossible. Keep the following quote in mind “It always seems impossible until its done.” -Nelson Mandela.

Imagine every detail.. add the five senses to get an accurate picture of what your future will look like once you obtain this goal…what will you smell, touch, see.. Try to imagine the setting, what you are wearing, etc.

From my past experience, I have manifested experiences without knowing what I was doing..I thought I was just daydreaming with great detail. Little did I know, that by visualizing I was attracting the things I desire. Visualization plays a huge role in the law of attraction. I imagined my long, lost childhood friend on the dance floor. In the daydream, I imagined him and I slow dancing together. In the vision I was wearing a black dress. The dream was not too far off from reality. I was wearing a black formal dress and slow dancing with my friend.  It was very outrageous. The dream/ vision was not completely accurate, as he was wearing a tuxedo in the dream, yet in reality he was in a t-shirt and jeans, but do you think I was thinking “this is off”.. no, instead I was trying to fathom how i could have imagined an experience that  became my reality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3 Simple Steps to Accomplishing Your Goals

 

 

 

Step 1

First and foremost, set a deadline. Without a deadline you will procrastinate like there is no tomorrow.

Step 2

 

Figure out how big your goal is – Measure your goal, and try to see how long it will take you to accomplish it (do small portions everyday until you see the finish result). Try to set aside time-slots for each day of the week, so you know what you need to be doing at every hour. Unless I put it down on my calendar, I will put it off, and put it off…Keep in mind the staircase analogy……………

Step 3

That brings me to the last but most important step-“Have faith” that you will accomplish your goals/dreams. Sounds great and all, but if you are anything like me…you always run all the possible things that might go wrong in your head.. before it even happens… our brains are wired to think of obstacles before they even happen..so what do we do then? Well, we can trick our brains!  For instance, If I want to take a vacation at the end of the year, but I do not know how I will fund it…I need to act as though it is all “set in stone.” Why do this? It’s simple you are tricking your subconscious mind… for instance, I can request time off from work, put important dates in my calendar, and tell friends and family about my plan etc… all these things will trick your brain into thinking that you are going on vacation… and the rest will work itself out. Our subconscious mind will try to work out the obstacles (ex: money, living situation) in your mind while you sleep or go about your day, and eventually you will have what I like to call the “A’HA moment” where you figure out how you will pay for your vacation,  stay etc..  The more things you do to prepare for your goal, in spite of any obstacle the more likely you are to obtain it. The first step to manifesting any goal/dream is to believe in it deeply. People who have burning desire to fulfill their dreams always succeed:)
